A model for effective online instructional design

Image
A model for effective online instructional design. Instructional design (ID), also known as instructional systematic design (ISD). Instructional design refers to the process of planning, creating and delivering effective materials that make knowledge and skill attainment more effective, well-organized, real and interesting to meet a specific learning need. In short, it is procedure of making and transporting resources and knowledge to learners. The aim of instructional design is to match the learning goal and desire outcome. Instructional design helps the students to achieve formerly set learning goal. It is the responsibility of the instructional designer to develop and present instructional materials and experience that successfully aid the learner in achieving the previously established learning objectives. To do this, the instructional design process starts with determining the needs of the learners and how they learn in order to develop the most effective instructional mat...

Dick and Carey’s instructional design model

Image
Explain Dick and Carey’s instructional design model:   A set of processes called "instructional design" is used to create training and instruction curricula in a reliable and consistent manner. Dick and care’s model of instructional design is also one of the instructional materials for teaching and training. It is also called as the system approach model. The Dick and Carey Model was first presented by Walter Dick and Lou Carey in their 1978 book ‘The Systematic Design of Instruction’. Dick and Carey's systems method assists curriculum developers in creating curricula through a sequence of nine processes that all contribute to a specific educational aim. The Dick and Carey systems approach takes into account elements including the instructor, learners, materials, instructional activities, delivery system, and the learning and performance environment. And these nine stages are organized into three phases: analysis, design, and development, each step contribute t...

ADDIE MODEL

Image
ADDIE Model  The systematic process of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning resources and activities is known as instructional design. For successful learning to occur, instructional design strives for a learner-centered rather than the conventional teacher-centered approach to instruction. This implies that the learning outcomes, which were established following a careful examination of the learners' requirements, drive every aspect of the education. The ADDIE model offers five universal course design principles: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. It features a handy checklist to ensure a sound course design, systematic design assistance, and a strong focus on implementation and evaluation. The drawbacks of ADDIE include a lack of diversity in the creative process, a rigid and linear paradigm, and a lack of inspiration. ADDIE Model of Instructional Design: 1.       Analysis: The fir...
